hit The latest high-tech weapon in the battle against ageing - the equivalent, apparently, of "yoga for your skin" - was launched in a room prettied up with white fluffy rugs, couches and flower arrangements and, of course, a fragrant crowd of beauty editors. La Prairie president and CEO Dirk Trappmann had flown in from Switzerland especially for the event and probably considered it well worth it as he was just about the only man there.

miss The La Prairie folks gave us too many dispiriting facts about ageing and stress and the effects of everyday worries on your skin. It made us want to never get out of bed - even with great face cream.
